In the last four years, the annual cost of attending college at a public university rose 25% to $6,823. Similarly, costs at private schools are up 24% to $17,631 annually. Unfortunately, disposable personal income increased only 18% over the same period.

As the gap between personal income and college costs continues to grow, students and parents are increasing their reliance on student loans to achieve the dream of a college education. The Federal Family Education Loan (FFEL) Program includes Federal Plus (Parent) Loans, and Federal Stafford Loans (subsidized and unsubsidized), and MCU now offers these loans.
