What do I need to access your site?
The MCU site uses the latest technologies to enhance your visit. We recommend using the latest version of your favorite browser - Internet Explorer, Netscape, Opera, Mozilla/Firefox, or AOL on the PC; Internet Explorer, Netscape, Opera, or iCab on the Mac. When I try to apply for a product online, I get a page telling me I need 128-bit encryption. Why?
All the information you send to us via an online application is secure. 128-bit encryption is essentially a very strong lock on your data so that potential prying eyes aren't able to peek at any of your information. The latest version of any browser will include 128-bit encryption, and thus, you'll need to upgrade in order to use our online applications as well as Online Banking.

I'm using Netscape 4.7, and some pages are difficult to read. Why?
Netscape 4.7 is no longer the latest version. Download the latest version via the links below. However, we strongly recommend using Internet Explorer over Netscape in general.

I'm using AOL. Can I use another browser instead of the built-in one?
Yes you can, and we recommend it. Once you've downloaded a browser from the list below, all you have to do is go into AOL as normal. Once you're at the Welcome screen, you can minimize the whole program, and start up the browser you've downloaded. This works for any browser, be it Internet Explorer, Netscape, or Opera.

Are there any plug-ins I'll need?
Parts of our site do require Macromedia's Flash Player to view. This comes automatically with your internet browser. In the very rare case that you do not already have Flash Player on your computer, or you want to upgrade to the latest version, you can download it here on the Shockwave website We recommend upgrading to the latest version to take advantage of Flash's innovative features.
